Deep navy silk jacquard wide-leg trousers with chrysanthemums and peonies woven through in a brighter blue that comes and goes with the light. Wear them with the Delft Gold blouse for blue on blue, with an ivory knit for dinner, or with heels to a winter wedding.
Length
82cm inside leg. Cut to fall to the floor on 5'7". If you are 5'4" or under, allow for a hem of around 6cm.
That is roughly 7cm longer than a standard high-street wide leg — deliberately so. A wide-leg trouser is meant to reach the floor, and most are cut short of it. The leg length is the same across every size. See the size guide for waist and hip measurements.

Indigo Bloom is a deep marine navy carrying a chrysanthemum and peony motif woven in a brighter blue. Where the light catches the raised weave the flowers come forward; in shadow they sink back into the navy. It is a floral that stays quiet until you are close.
Cut flat across the front with a single soft pleat at each hip, falling clean from the waist into a full wide leg with no break in the line. There is no gathering, no elastic at the front and no pockets: the trouser is meant to read as tailoring from the waist and as fluid silk from the thigh down.
Woven in Vietnam from an 80% silk, 20% viscose jacquard, and fully lined in 100% viscose. The silk gives the fall and the lustre; the viscose gives the cloth enough weight to hang straight. The lining is what makes the difference in wear — it keeps the trouser completely opaque, stops silk clinging to the leg, and lets the whole thing move as one piece rather than two.
Shown with the Rosalind Delft Gold paisley blouse — the two were designed to be worn together, blue on blue at different depths. Also good under black or ivory.
