A sleeveless midi dress in deep navy silk jacquard, with chrysanthemums and peonies woven through in a brighter blue that comes and goes with the light. A V neck at the front, a V cut at the back, and a skirt that flares softly from the waist to just below the calf.
How this dress fits
Shaped through the bodice, easy through the skirt. Long seams from the bust to the hip shape the dress to the waist, then the skirt opens into a soft A-line that skims the hip and tummy. Indigo Bloom is a deep marine navy carrying a chrysanthemum and peony motif woven in a brighter blue. Where the light catches the raised weave the flowers come forward; in shadow they sink back into the navy. It is a floral that stays quiet until you are close.
The cut is clean and quietly elegant: a V neckline, wide shoulder straps that sit securely, a bodice shaped with long seams, and a skirt that falls from the waist into a gentle flare. The back is cut in a V — the detail that makes the dress feel like an evening piece. There are no pockets, so the line stays clean over the hip.
The dress is fully lined in 100% viscose. The lining keeps it completely opaque, stops the silk clinging, and lets the skirt hang and move as one smooth piece.
Wear it as a set. The dress is woven from the same Indigo Bloom jacquard as our Rosalind Indigo Bloom wide-leg trousers — one cloth, two ways to wear it through the season.
Styling. Pearls and silver heels, as shown, for a winter wedding or a Christmas lunch; a soft silk scarf around the shoulders when the evening cools.
