Black silk jacquard wide-leg trousers with a large peony woven through in the same thread — a black trouser that turns out, on second look, to be a floral one. Wear them to a Christmas party with a silk blouse, to the theatre with a fitted knit, or with heels to a winter wedding.
Length
82cm inside leg. Cut to fall to the floor on 5'7". If you are 5'4" or under, allow for a hem of around 6cm.
That is roughly 7cm longer than a standard high-street wide leg — deliberately so. A wide-leg trouser is meant to reach the floor, and most are cut short of it. The leg length is the same across every size. See the size guide for waist and hip measurements.

Onyx Peony is black with a full-blown peony woven through it in the same thread — no contrast, no colour, just the flower emerging wherever the light catches the raised weave. It is a black trouser that turns out, on second look, to be a floral one.
Cut flat across the front with a soft pleat at each hip and no pockets, falling clean from the waist into a full wide leg. The peony is scaled large enough to read across the width of the leg, which is what stops a tonal jacquard from disappearing into plain cloth at a distance.
Woven in Vietnam from an 80% silk, 20% viscose jacquard, and fully lined in 100% viscose. The silk gives the fall and the lustre; the viscose gives the cloth enough weight to hang straight. The lining is what makes the difference in wear — it keeps the trouser completely opaque, stops silk clinging to the leg, and lets the whole thing move as one piece rather than two.
