Black Noir is a true, depthless black — the most versatile note in the Ophelia collection. Woven as a jacquard, a tonal floral damask moves through the cloth, so the black is never flat: it shifts between matte and sheen as the light and the fabric move.
Few pieces deliver the quiet drama of a true palazzo trouser, and the Ophelia is cut to make the most of it. An 80% silk, 20% viscose jacquard gives the wide leg its weight and fall, so the fabric moves in a long, clean column rather than billowing. A sweeping front overlay panel falls cleanly down each leg, lifting and floating with every step so the silhouette gains a quiet sense of movement, while an elasticated back waistband allows genuine, all-day comfort beneath a smooth, tailored front.
Crafted in Vietnam, the damask jacquard carries a subtle woven texture that shifts gently as the light changes. They have a zip at the front and have an elasticated waist at the back. I am a 6-8 and I think they run a little snugger round the waist to give a cinch. If in doubt size up.
