A relaxed silk shirt, hand tie-dyed so that fuchsia pink, turquoise and touches of cobalt bloom across a pale lilac ground like colour dropped into water. Wear it loose over black wide-leg trousers, half-tucked with pearls, or open over a camisole on holiday.
How this shirt fits
Cut loose and slightly oversized, with a dropped shoulder and a curved shirt-tail hem — it is meant to sit away from you. Take your usual UK size; if you would like less volume, take the size below. See the size guide for full body measurements.
Habotai is a fine, light silk. In the palest parts of the dye it is slightly sheer, so a nude or white camisole underneath works well.

A shirt cut to your own shoulder and sleeve length sits differently — an inch either way changes where the cuff falls and how the body drapes.
Lagoon Bloom is dyed by hand, one shirt at a time. The silk is bound and dipped so the colour spreads and softens on its own — fuchsia running into turquoise, cobalt pooling at the edges, pale lilac left where the dye did not reach. Because no two shirts are bound the same way, the pattern on yours will be unique: the same colours and the same soft, cloud-like bloom as the photographs, but never an exact copy.
The shirt itself is a classic, made easy: a pointed collar, a full button front with pearlescent buttons, long sleeves finished with buttoned cuffs, and a curved shirt-tail hem that sits well loose or half-tucked. The fine natural crinkle in the cloth is part of the habotai — it is the silk, not a crease, and it softens with wear.
Made in Vietnam from 100% habotai silk — the light, smooth silk traditionally used for hand-dyeing, because it takes colour so cleanly and moves with every breath of air.
Shown with black silk jacquard wide-leg trousers and a strand of pearls. It works just as well with white jeans in summer, or over a black slip dress as a light jacket.
