Esmé Emerald Peacock Asymmetric Silk Jacquard Shell Top

An emerald and peacock-blue silk jacquard shell top with a floral woven right through the cloth, cut with an asymmetric handkerchief hem. Wear it with black wide-leg trousers for a Christmas party, under a tailored jacket, or with jeans and heels.

Esmé is cut from a two-tone jacquard: an emerald ground with a dense floral woven in peacock blue. Because the colours are woven rather than printed, the top shifts from green to blue as you move and the light catches the weave.

The shape is a clean sleeveless shell with a high round neckline, fastened at the back with a single pearl button above a narrow keyhole. The body falls loose from the shoulder into a handkerchief hem that drops into soft points at each side, so it moves as you walk.

Woven in Vietnam from an 80% silk, 20% viscose jacquard. The silk gives the lustre and the soft hand; the viscose lends the cloth just enough body to hold the shape of the hem.
