Green and blue — the colours of deep water, of light through leaves, of a coastline seen from above. This scarf captures that feeling of natural immersion: colours that exist together in the world, rendered here in silk and given back to you to wear.
Hand-painted in Nha Xa, a silk-weaving village in northern Vietnam with over 700 years of unbroken artisan tradition. Each piece is painted by hand — brush to silk, colour to colour — and no two emerge the same. Yours is singular.
Woven from 100% pure mulberry habotai silk, prized for its natural sheen, weightless drape, and the way it holds colour with a depth that synthetic fabrics cannot achieve.
- Fabric: 100% pure mulberry habotai silk
- Technique: Hand-painted green and blue brushstroke dyeing — each piece unique
- Wear it: As a wrap over the shoulders, loosely knotted at the collar, or draped across a bag
- Feel: Featherlight, breathable, and naturally luminous
- Gift: A quietly beautiful gift — artisan-made in Vietnam
- Size: 85 × 180 cm
- Care: Hand wash cold or dry clean

About Silk Habotai
Woven for centuries in Vietnam’s silk villages of Nha Xa and Van Phuc, habotai — “soft as down” — is prized for its featherlight drape and luminous sheen. Each Silk & Bears scarf is hand-dyed by artisans using traditional techniques, so no two pieces are ever identical.
The scarves looked so lovely I bought 3. This is a gorgeous vibrant pink and lilac combination. The silk is fine and soft and perfect for folding to wear with a jumper but the scarf is big enough to cover your shoulders.
