Better in pairs — any two hand-dyed scarves or pillowcases, 10% off at checkout.

Drama, distilled. Crimson and black in stark, expressive brushstrokes — the kind of contrast that stops a room. There is nothing accidental about this pairing; it is deliberate, assured, and entirely without apology.

Each piece is hand-painted by artisans in Nha Xa, a northern Vietnamese village with over 700 years of silk-dyeing heritage. The brushwork is applied freely, and the result is always unrepeatable — a controlled gesture that carries within it a trace of the hand that made it.

Woven from 100% pure mulberry habotai silk — featherlight, naturally lustrous, and extraordinarily soft. Against the skin, it brings warmth without weight.

  • Fabric: 100% pure mulberry habotai silk
  • Technique: Hand-painted red and black brushstroke dyeing — each piece unique
  • Wear it: Over a white shirt for maximum contrast, knotted at the neck, or draped boldly over the shoulders
  • Feel: Featherlight, breathable, and dramatically beautiful
  • Gift: A striking and considered gift — artisan-made in Vietnam
  • Size: 85 × 180 cm
  • Care: Hand wash cold or dry clean

Handmade in Vietnam by Silk & Bears.

About Silk Habotai

Woven for centuries in Vietnam’s silk villages of Nha Xa and Van Phuc, habotai — “soft as down” — is prized for its featherlight drape and luminous sheen. Each Silk & Bears scarf is hand-dyed by artisans using traditional techniques, so no two pieces are ever identical.
