Plum and magenta — two colours that share warmth but approach it differently. Plum carries depth, the richness of things that take time to appreciate; magenta brings immediacy, a vibrancy that is impossible to overlook. Together, they create something that is at once bold and layered. This is not a quiet scarf. But it is a very considered one.

Hand-dyed by artisans in Nha Xa, a northern Vietnamese village where the tradition of silk dyeing has been preserved for over 700 years. Each piece is dyed by hand — colour applied with intention, set slowly, finished with care — and the particular richness of this palette is a result of that process.

100% pure mulberry habotai silk, celebrated for its natural luminosity, featherlight drape, and the way it gives jewel tones a depth that heavier fabrics cannot hold.

About Silk Habotai

Woven for centuries in Vietnam’s silk villages of Nha Xa and Van Phuc, habotai — “soft as down” — is prized for its featherlight drape and luminous sheen. Each Silk & Bears scarf is hand-dyed by artisans using traditional techniques, so no two pieces are ever identical.
