Indigo, olive gold and lilac run in soft horizontal bands across the silk, blurring where they meet. The Iris Field Silk Scarf reads differently at every distance — a wash of blue from across a room, a hundred fine painterly strokes in the hand.
Hand-dyed by artisans in Nha Xa — Vietnam's 700-year-old silk-weaving village — using a resist technique that lays colour in bands along the length before the cloth is dried on bamboo frames in open air. The bleed where one colour meets the next is the mark of the hand, and it falls differently in every piece.
Woven from 100% pure mulberry habotai silk, it is light enough to disappear into a clutch and generous enough to cover the shoulders through a long evening.
