Not the bright green of statement-making, but the deep, considered green of a forest interior — layered, complex, and entirely at ease with itself. Forest green in silk has a quality that no other fabric can quite replicate: a depth that seems to come from within the weave rather than the surface.
Hand-dyed by artisans in Nha Xa, a village in northern Vietnam where the craft of silk dyeing has been passed down through generations for over 800 years. Each scarf is dyed by hand — colour immersed, set, and finished with care — and the particular depth of this green is the result of that patience.
Woven from 100% pure mulberry habotai silk: featherlight, naturally luminous, and with a drape that gives solid colours an elegance that heavier fabrics cannot achieve.
- Fabric: 100% pure mulberry habotai silk
- Technique: Hand-dyed in forest green — rich, even, and deeply saturated
- Wear it: Knotted softly at the neck, draped over the shoulders with a camel or ivory outfit, or belted over a coat
- Feel: Featherlight, breathable, and quietly luxurious
- Gift: An understated and artisan gift — handmade in Vietnam
- Care: Hand wash cold or dry clean
Handmade in Vietnam by Silk & Bears.

About Silk Habotai
Woven for centuries in Vietnam’s silk villages of Nha Xa and Van Phuc, habotai — “soft as down” — is prized for its featherlight drape and luminous sheen. Each Silk & Bears scarf is hand-dyed by artisans using traditional techniques, so no two pieces are ever identical.
