Deep, rich, and unambiguous: the Deep Purple Silk Scarf wears its colour with real authority. This is the purple of Byzantine silk — one of history’s great luxury textiles — rendered in the finest modern habotai.
Hand-dyed by artisans in Nha Xa, Vietnam’s 700-year-old silk-weaving village, each scarf is brought to its saturated, velvet-like depth through traditional craft that cannot be replicated by machine.
From 100% pure mulberry habotai silk, it drapes with a natural weight and luminosity that gives even the simplest outfit something of the ceremonial.

About Silk Habotai
Woven for centuries in Vietnam’s silk villages of Nha Xa and Van Phuc, habotai — “soft as down” — is prized for its featherlight drape and luminous sheen. Each Silk & Bears scarf is hand-dyed by artisans using traditional techniques, so no two pieces are ever identical.
Beautiful scarf. Love the color
Beautiful and delivered quickly. Thank you so much
Very prompt response to my query regarding postage. The scarf is beautiful! A gift for a friend. I'm tempted to buy one for myself!
So beautiful and soft to the touch.
Such a shame this item wasn't the right colour for my dress. The customer service has been excellent and it's a beautiful scarf/shawl.
